BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Pied Flycatcher, 3 Spotted Flycatchers, Garden Warbler, 2 Whitethroats, Chiffchaff, flyover Great Northern Diver & Golden Plover. Ringing: 14 Long-tailed Tits, 7 Great Tits, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Robin, 1 Blackbird, 2 Wrens, 1 Blue Tit.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: 12 GLOSSY IBISES (evidently just arrived) & 2 SPOONBILLS in western Backstrand; the Ibises later off Saleen carpark; GREY PHALAROPE at Lisselan.
BUNMAHON: 3rd-calendar-year SPOONBILL flying W at Trá na mBó.
HELVICK HEAD: Garden Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher & 4 Chiffchaffs.

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: GLOSSY IBIS, GREY PHALAROPE, Ruff, Common Sandpiper & Kingfisher at Lisselan; Whinchat at old racecourse off Tramore Nature Park.
WATERFORD CITY: Whinchat at the old racecourse near Waterford Nature Park.
ARDMORE: Adult Mediterranean Gull at beach.
RAM HEAD: 4 CORY'S SHEARWATERS, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 820 Manx Shearwaters, Storm Petrel, Great Skua, adult LONG-TAILED SKUA, adult Pomarine Skua, 4 Arctic Skuas, Puffin, Black Guillemot, 150+ Razorbills, Common Scoter & male Tufted Duck all W (seawatch 08:55-11:25).

TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: GLOSSY IBIS briefly at Lisselan before flying E & Grey Phalarope again at Lisselan.
HELVICK HEAD: 2 adult LONG-TAILED SKUAS, 2 juvenile SABINE’s GULLS, 5 Storm Petrels, 9 Arctic Skuas, several distant unidentified small skuas, 2 juvenile Puffins but <50 Manx Shearwaters (seawatch 14:05-16:25).
DUNGARVAN: Small/medium skua species in Western Bay.

BROWNSTOWN HEAD: Great Spotted Woodpecker in main willow garden.
TRAMORE BACKSTRAND: Grey Phalarope (new bird?) off Lisselan seawall, Little Stint, Curlew Sandpiper, Ruff & White Wagtail west of the spits.
CLONEA BAY: 35 White Wagtails & 5 Chiffchaffs at Ballinclamper.

Thurs 4 Sep:
BROWNSTOWN HEAD: TREE PIPIT, Grasshopper Warbler, Willow Warbler & small numbers of Whitethroats & Chiffchaffs.

TRAMORE: GREY PHALAROPE & Common Sandpiper again at boating lake; 2 2nd-calendar-year SPOONBILLS flew from Lisselan to Kilmacleague, 2 Brent Geese also present on Backstrand.
DUNGARVAN: OSPREY.

TRAMORE: 2 juvenile GREY PHALAROPES, 1 in Backstrand off the south spit, another plus a Common Sandpiper & a flyover Wood Sandpiper at the boating lake; 7 Arctic Terns in Backstrand off Lisselan.

BALLYVOYLE HEAD: WILSON’S PETREL W, LONG-TAILED SKUA, 50 CORY’S SHEARWATERS, 20 GREAT SHEARWATERS, 200 Manx Shearwaters & 2 Black Terns (seawatch 10:00-10:20).
RAM HEAD: 1044+ CORY’s SHEARWATER (highest ever day-total for a Co Waterford site), 43+ GREAT SHEARWATERS, 115 distant large shearwaters, 21 Sooty Shearwaters, 5000+ Manx Shearwaters, 11 Storm Petrels , 5 adult LONG_TAILED SKUAS, 3 Arctic Skuas & 8+ Arctic Terns (seawatch 08:55-18:05).

HELVICK HEAD: 400+ CORY’S SHEARWATERS (highest ever site day-total for Co Waterford), 38 GREAT SHEARWATERS, 5 Sooty Shearwaters, 5000+ Manx Shearwaters, 3 Storm Petrels, 10 Arctic Skuas, 1 Puffin, 1 Great Northern Diver, 1 Little Tern, 1 Arctic, 6 Common & 100+ Sandwich Terns (seawatch 08:00-14:30).
RAM HEAD: 129 CORY’S SHEARWATERS, 16 GREAT SHEARWATERS, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 1 Great Skua & 3 Arctic Terns W, 1 male Common Scoter on sea (seawatch 11:40-17:10).
